What is a bully stick?

A 100% natural, 100% beef chew that dogs love, made from a single ingredient: it is the cleaned and dehydrated bull pizzle (bull penis), with no additives or preservatives.

Do your bully sticks smell bad?

At Happy Chew, we know that smell matters for dogs but also for humans. That is why we select low-odor bully sticks, carefully washed in water before dehydration. They keep the natural beef smell that dogs love, but without the strong odor of some bully sticks.

Is the bully stick safe for my dog?

Yes, by choosing the right size and supervising your dog during chewing. The bully stick is a single-ingredient, 100% digestible chew. Unlike cooked bones, it does not break into sharp, potentially dangerous splinters.

However, even though it is digestible, we recommend removing the last small piece.

💡 Happy Chew tip: a treat holder can be used to hold the remaining small piece and let your dog enjoy its chew to the very end, while limiting the risk of swallowing it whole.

Is the bully stick easily digestible?

Yes. The bully stick is an easily digestible chew, unlike rawhide, which we do not sell at Happy Chew.

The bully stick breaks down naturally in the digestive system. However, the size of the bully stick and the way your dog chews it remain important. Even a digestible chew should not be swallowed in large pieces.

How long does a bully stick last?

It mainly depends on the thickness, the length and your dog's chewing style. A moderate chewer will generally keep its bully stick longer than a dog that chews very intensely.

Because the bully stick is a natural product, its shape and size can vary. A bulkier stick is not necessarily more durable: it may be hollow.
