The Himalayan cheese stick is known to be the hardest in the world! It is recommended to wait until your dog has his adult teeth before offering this treat.
Produced in the Himalayan mountains (Nepal), this cheese is made from heated yak and cow's milk, to which lime juice and salt are added (to make it curdle). The solid portion is then collected and dried for a long time to remove much of its moisture and harden it.
For the first few tastings, let your dog chew the yak cheese for about 15 minutes at a time and space it out for a few days while his digestive system adjusts (to avoid loose stools).
Little puff trick for the end: soak the last piece in warm water for 5 minutes, microwave for at least 45 seconds to make it puff, cool it and give that puff to your beautiful doggo!
These yak cheeses are an excellent treat to keep your dog busy, to stimulate a release of endorphins and to satisfy his need to chew. Each stick is hand weighed as you pay by the weight of the stick.

For the first few times, it is recommended to offer for short periods of chewing (maximum 20 minutes). Thereafter, offer according to his needs, keeping in mind that a treat should not represent more than 10% of your dog's daily dietary needs.
